Program:
Racice in the Czech Republic will host this year’s ICF Dragon Boat World Championships, after the event had to be relocated from Ukraine.
The Czech Canoe Union togeher with Czech Dragon Boat Association agreed to host the event alongside the Czech National Dragon Boat Championships on September 3 and 4.
The completion will be held at the National Water Sports Center, the same venue which will host an ICF canoe sprint world cup this May.
“It is obviously very disappointing that our good friends in Ukraine can no longer host this event, and as a community we will continue to support the Ukrainian canoe family in whatever way we can,” ICF calm water technical manager, Martin Marinov, said.
“We are very grateful to the Czech Canoe Union for stepping in at such short notice to agree to host the event. We are sure, with their experience, that they will put on a fantastic show.”
